I couldn’t come up with a clever title for this one
I might have just lost my cool and “powered” through a bunch of knots in my hair. Now I’ve got a matte of hair about 2/3’s the length of my relatively long pinky finger. While looking it over after my shower I was reminded that I’ve been considering dreadlocks off and on for about five years now. That would be a significant, if not totally drastic, change for me, one that I would like to align with a few others. So I’m still not
sure if I’mready.Also, I noticed after going through my last few days/weeks worth of posts that this tumblr has become everything I never wanted it to be. I’ve been mindlessly reblogging silly pictures and videos and just generally contributing little or nothing of value to me. I’d really like to change this.
This isn’t an “I’m leaving tumblr!” type of deal, but I feel like I should take a break. So starting when I leave on Thursday/Friday I won’t be around, except to post a few pictures, until I get back from Arkansas.
Hopefully, I’ll use this time wisely. I have started four or five good books over the last year, but haven’t finished any of them. I’d like to. Not seeing things through to completion is a far too common occurrence for me and something I desperately need to change. I also intend to spend a lot of time enjoying family and getting lost in the fields and forests. Some thinking and planning for the upcoming year will probably go on as well. I STILL need to lose a good deal of weight, get serious about school before I transfer, and probably find a job early in the new year.
So I guess this is a preemptive so long… for now. (If anyone actually read any of this.) I hope that most of you will hang around (keep following?) till I get back.
